§1Original Purpose of the gnutelephony.org Wiki

The gnutelephony.org website was established in 2005-2006 to serve as the unified public face and collaborative documentation wiki for the GNU Telephony suite.

Maintained by David Sugar and community contributors, the wiki hosted installation how-tos, architectural white papers, conference presentation transcripts, and release announcements. It operated until the mid-2010s when active development ceased.

§2Transition to Independent Historical Archive

Following the cessation of active development, this independent historical archive was established to preserve the technical legacy of GNU Telephony and provide carefully sourced access to historical project materials.

This page reconstructs material originally published at gnutelephony.org. It has been formatted and annotated for archival preservation.
